About BOB

I am a retired engineer/ dairy farmer who lives in the house i was raised in. My grandfather bought the farm in 1912 and my father lived on this farm for 94 years. I worked at Bowling Green State University for nearly 33 years at WBGU-TV a public broadcasting station.

I served as the chair of the Classified Staff Council, representing 1,100 hourly non union employees for 4 years and in 1991 I organized the Statewide Employees Council consisting of 7 different schools.

I served as the first Chairman of that group that celebrated 25 years of service to the State of Ohio higher education in 2006.

Also while serving on Classified Staff Council  I worked chaired the salary committee that worked on a new pay plan that was more equitable to all BGSU employees and was adopted by a campus wide vote with a 95% approval.

I also served on the University Health Care committee as BGSU reorganized its policy and was the chief architect of other policies adopted by the University during the 1990's.

I am a member of a group in Washington that includes 70 current members of Congress. I support CONSERVATIVE family values but also support the idea of working together with others. I believe things get done properly when everyone works together for common sense solutions to issues. I believe that EVERYONE deserves a chance to be heard by their Congressman and I WILL NOT HIDE from anyone who wants to meet me.

I look forward to meeting and learning viewpoints from as many people as I can before the primary in May 2018. Please contact me and share your own views.
